Obol

Credits for built-in tools. Know the price before your AI acts.

Obol runs a few tools itself, so your AI can search the web, read a page, or create and read images without you opening another account. Each use costs a fixed number of credits, and 1 credit is $0.01.

Built-in tools are rolling out to Obol Cloud. The prices below are already published.

How credits work. Included first, then prepaid, then they stop.

  1. Included credits each month, shared across your organization.

    Free
    100 credits
    Team
    2,000 credits

They refill on the first of each month (UTC).

  2. Then your prepaid credit balance.

If you have one, built-in calls draw on it once the month’s included credits are used.

  3. No automatic overage.

When both run out, built-in calls stop. Nothing is billed afterwards.

Counts toward your plan
Each built-in call also counts as one tool call in your plan’s monthly allowance.
Tools that create something
“Generate an image” waits for your OK in production unless your rules allow it, and counts as a write and a destructive call as well as a tool call.
Workspaces you already had
Workspaces that existed before built-in tools start with them off until an admin turns them on.
Free Self-hosted
Built-in tools aren’t part of Free Self-hosted, and the self-host bundle doesn’t include the service that runs them. A self-hosted Obol never charges credits: it records any built-in call as not_chargeable.

Questions about credits, answered plainly.

Each plan’s price and monthly limits are in the pricing section.

Credits are how Obol prices its built-in tools: 1 credit is $0.01. A web search costs 1 credit and an image costs 2 credits, so Free’s 100 included credits cover up to 100 searches or 50 images a month, and Team’s 2,000 cover up to 2,000 searches.

Help us measure what works.

With your permission, we use Google Ads, Meta, and PostHog to measure completed access requests, demo bookings, and free sign-ups. This uses measurement cookies and shares campaign identifiers and measurement events with those services. We exclude your form details. Google Ads personalization remains off.

For completed free sign-ups and confirmed demo bookings, PostHog sends Meta the conversion time, an event ID, Facebook cookie identifiers, a hashed visitor ID, browser information, and a public page address. It does not send Meta your email, name, or account details.

PostHog also records how you browse our public pages so we can improve them. Form fields are masked, and forms and the private demo booking page are excluded from recordings. It counts clicks on the self-host install and sign-up buttons, and if you go on to create a free account, links this visit to that account's email.
